Shark, of Cox Radio's 97x, one of Tampa Bay's top rock stations, recently stated on the air that someone from Nirvana's record company called him at home with an interesting message.
The message stated that, in spite of the cease and desist order that the record company sent out, Shark could continue to play Nirvana's You know you're right.
Looks like leaking You know you're right "accidentally" really was a brilliant way to draw tons of attention to Geffen's upcoming releases of Nirvana CD-items. Viral marketing gets another point. Advertising is down three. Who will win? The more believable one, and viral marketing always is, until we all discover that it was just another myth used to promote a product.
