Have you purchased a CD from one of the major labels that didn't play on your computer, CD player, etc because it had some unadvertised "copy-protection" element to it? If so, you can join in a class action suit by going to the site of law firm Milberg Weiss here:

Dickey v. Universal Music Group, et. al.

A class action lawsuit was filed on June 11, 2002, on behalf of purchasers of defective compact audio discs manufactured, distributed, advertised and/or sold by Universal Music Group, EMI Music Publishing, BMG Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. and Warner Music Group.

The action is pending in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles. A copy of the complaint can be viewed here.

The Complaint alleges that certain music discs have been rendered unreproducible or unstable for use in many computers and disc players, and that Defendants misrepresent these discs as being standard Compact Discs ("CDs"), which they are not.
