Saturday and Sunday the storytelling site the Fray is celebrating six years in cities around the world. If you can't make any of them, check out the many wonderful stories on the site.

Our yearly celebration of the true, personal story, and the sixth
birthday of our humble site, is upon us! If you live in one of the
following cities, we hope you'll come out and join us for an evening
of personal storytelling.

Fray Day is taking place *this weekend* in Austin, Cambridge, Copenhagen, El Paso, Grand Rapids, Guam, Los Angeles, Melbourne, San Francisco, Tucson, and Washington DC. Read on for details....

Featuring: Music by local bands Dealership [the band and lead singer blog] and From Monument to Masses.

Storytelling performances by Local
troublemaker Jack Boulware, Slam poet and author Justin
Chin
, Bestselling author Laura Fraser, Internet superstar
Justin Hall, and Retired bank robber Joe Loya. Plus the
return of fray favorites like Lance Arthur, Heather Champ,
Brad Graham, Derek Powazek, Magdalen Powers, Kevin Smokler [who does the literary community Central Booking],
and Shauna Wright.

When: Saturday 14 September, 7pm
Where: The Victoria Theatre, 2961 16th St. in the Mission

Featuring: Music by local artist Sophie Raymond.
Performances by Ani Moller, Ainjel Emme, and Tim O.
Thompson. Emceed by Ben Brown.

Where: Cafe Mundi, 1704 E 5th St.

{ washington dc }

Featuring: Performances by Maura Johnston and Kelowna
Vincent, hosted by Don Bruns and Michael Woodward, with an
open mic and interactive art projects.

Where: The Lyceum: 201 S. Washington St.


{ cambridge }

Featuring: Storytelling performances and open mic. Hosted by
Susan Kaup and Jen Langley.

When: Saturday 14 September, 7pm
Where: Hannum Hall, YWCA Cambridge, 7 Temple St.
