Unfortunately, stereotypes get to BE stereotypes because of innate truths that become sweeping generalizations. Through a horrifying series of events (and essentially to get the hell out of TEXAS!) I ended up in Arkansas. So many of the jokes that came out when Clinton was president were actually RIGHT ON THE FREAKIN' MONEY! That's not to say that there aren't intelligent, cultured, wonderful people here.
