According to the news section of Henry Rollins' official website:

  1. "Unwelcomed Songs (Collected Lyrics 1980-1992)" by Henry Rollins will be available 9/2/02 on www.21361.com and at bookstores.
  2. "Rise Above" 24 Black Flag songs performed by various artists to benefit the West Memphis Three will be available 10/8/02 on www.21361.com and at record stores.
  3. New Comedy Central will be airing a one hour version of the Henry Rollins spoken word show "Up For It" on 8/2/02 @ 10:00pm / 8/3/02 @ 8:00pm / 8.17.02 @ 2:30am / 9.1.02 @ 12:30am / 9/17/02 @ 2:00am.or (www.comcentral.com).
If you can, definately check out the Comedy Central show, I guarantee it will be worth your time. I am personally waiting (Not very patiently, I might add....) for the West Memphis Three/Black Flag tribute disc. It will feature 24 songs, recorded by Rollins' current band and Mother Superior members on the music and various singers covering BF songs. Rollins was on Rockline a few weeks back and confirmed a few of the singers:
Tom Araya (Slayer), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), who was the other guest on the show, did "Don't Care," Keith Morris (Black Flag's original singer, ex-Circle Jerks), Kira Roessler (ex-bassist for the mighty Flag) and I forgot who else.
Should be a kick-ass CD. I, of course will let the readers of Blogcritics know. You can find more information about the West Memphis Three at thier site.
