All-Day Music Festival and Job Fair for Teens

WHO: Hosted by platinum records rap artist and record executive Master P.
Other performers include: Beyonce Knowles¹ sister Solange Knowles, Lil Romeo, Westlife, Isis, Play, Lil J. and 3LW. During the day, two side stages will feature non-stop musical entertainment comprised of local unsigned talent of which a panel of judges will choose four acts to perform on the main stage later that night.

Other dignitaries schedule to make appearances include basketball legend/businessman Earvin "Magic" Johnson and comedian/actor/activist Steve
Harvey. Celebrities from Disney, Nickelodeon, Fox and Warner Brothers will
also be participating.

WHAT: Organized by local-San-Diego-teen, Willie G, the primary goal of the
Blockbuster TeenFest '02 is to celebrate and nurture the creative and cultural diversity of American youth. The all-day event is meant to provide a chance for teens "snag a job, get their groove on, and help the community too." Corporate sponsors of the event include Blockbuster, Amtrak, and Bank of America and the job fair will boast entry-level management career opportunities with a wide variety of companies including Krispy Kreme Donuts, Epic Records, Nextel, Domino's Pizza, Qualcom, and SBC/Pacific Bell.

In addition to the job fair, other activities on-going will include: a celebrity go-kart race, a freestyle lyricist hip-hop battle, a hoop-it-up basketball contest, Xtreme BMX bike and skateboard demo, and more. The Blockbuster TeenFest '02 will also feature the "Most Influential Leaders of the Millennium" Awards, presented on the main stage prior to the culminating evening concert.
