Lydia kept commenting on how diverse the crowd was. There were punks, old rockers, rackers, semi-goths, yuppies, frats/AFers, sk8erz and us. Several people even yelled over the music that we were such a cute couple. I don't know why they said that, but it was kinda funny.

I ordered a Cape Cod for her and a J & C for me. We really enjoyed the show. The music was too loud, the place was too hot, and the performance was standard rockstar sh*t, but it really worked. I'm a bigger fan now than before.

At some point I left Lydia and worked my way through the crowd to the front of the stage. It was like standing next to a jet taking off. The vibration from the speakers and the heat from the crowd were almost beyond belief. Security guys were making continuous trips in with bottles of water and out with overheated people.

I took some photos (which I later accidentally erased) and then a fight broke out next to me. Tommy stopped the music and yelled for the house lights to come on. The big security guys grabbed the fighters and pushed them outside, and the show continued.

I went back to Lydia and ordered another drink to sweat out. An Asian girl in a cheerleader's outfit came onstage and danced to the music. She was very hot looking. Even Lydia couldn't stop talking about how great she looked (I'm thinking 'threesome'). Tommy asked if anyone had a request and I yelled "Play a Kid Rock song!" (but not loud enough for him to hear).

Then a huge brute of a guy came working his way from the front with a security guy behind him. The brute was shoving people out of his way like they were little kids. I had this flashback to my school football days. He was coming right at me, so I braced my feet and set my shoulder towards him. He tried to shove me, but I didn't move (much). He looked surprised as he went around and out the door with security right behind him. My shoulder was sore. The night wasn't even half over...
