Rollins Band - The Only Way To Know For Sure

The track selection is top-notch. They touch on the older stuff, with tracks like "Disconnect," "All I Want," and "Starve" from the Weight CD, "Tearing," "You Didn't Need" and "Low Self-Opinion" from my favorite, The End Of Silence, and even farther back to "Do It" which was an outtake from the Life Time sessions and made it's way onto an "EP" of the same name which was really a full CD, with three outtakes and the rest live stuff from previous records. They also have more than enough material from the newer discs, Get Some Go Again, Nice and A Nicer Shade Of Red (an internet-only collection of leftover tracks from the Nice sessions). I've already stated that my favorite song (probably altogether, not just Rollins Band) "Illumination" is included, but some other great songs are also included, "Up For It," "Ten Times," "Thinking Cap," "Gone Inside The Zero," to name a few.
The sound quality is exceptional, probably the best I've ever heard from a live recording made at a small club. The crowd doesn't drown out anything and the music and vocals are crystal clear and mixed perfectly. Henry doesn't do any real stage rants either. He lets the music do most of the talking. Occasionally, he does a couple of seconds of ranting, but nothing like I've heard in the past. I have a bootleg of The End Of Silence tour, called Europe 1992 where there are only six songs on a 52 minute CD. The version of "Move Right In" is 13:41 because he goes off on several rants. While I like this and kind of miss it in his live shows, it's nice to see them do more songs and less rants. There is also multi-media content that is great. There are 3 videos, for "Illumination," "Your Number Is One" and "Get Some Go Again" and a picture gallery. The videos aren't the expected live videos that were filmed during the recorded show, but the actual videos filmed for the songs. They are very cool, and since I never saw them on MTV or anywhere else, this was the first time I got to check them out. They are all very good, especially the one for "Illumination," which was filmed in India. The pictures are also cool, except that there are no captions or anything.
