Dear Bow Wow,
I am not a fan of you or your music. I am concerned however with the fact that you seem to like the idea of being a thug. I understand that Toure, with whom you had a fallout with during taping of a recent interview on BET, asked some rather touchy questions. So what? That’s his job.
Now apparently there are rumors that you played this tantrum up for the cameras for a recent special involving your new album with Omarion. I would honestly like to think that is true. However, there’s something unreal to me about that line of thinking.
If you normally don’t mouth off to another in the fashion that you did to Toure, then why not just end the interview and bounce? To make threats against Toure does not say to the world that you are a man. You can easily stand up for yourself without telling your bodyguards that you are going to beat the man up.
But then I can understand that, you probably took lessons from Mr. Suge Knight. Interesting where that led him.
Now how about the questions? Toure asked Omarion if he was taking moves from Chris Brown. Omarion should have been allowed to answer the question even if he was caught off guard by what was asked of him. If I was O, I would have simply said that while Chris Brown borrows from Michael Jackson, I make my own moves.
But no, you decided that he was being rude.
Then when Toure mentioned that the chain around your neck was similar to one that Lil’Wayne wears, you should have said that you respected the man and his style and gave props to him. To accentuate the fact you are original, when the interviewer clearly didn’t see that, only confirms you are NOT original.
But no, you somehow felt that was disrespectful.
Call me crazy, but you should have had the balls to act that way in front of Ciara after she decided to shake her butt right in the very isle you were sitting at during the BET Awards. But I suppose you couldn’t do that because 25 X 2 was at the show that night. I wouldn’t respect you if you even did that to her, but if you are supposed to be a thug, they usually do that to their women as well.
And here’s another thing. How are you gonna be a thug when you have an album with an ex-boy band member and a single that would be better suited for teeny boppers? Even the album cover is supposed to suggest something dark and sinister. When I hit play, run track one, and hear something like this, I demand my money back.
I don’t pay to listen albums where little kids talk like they are grown.
So essentially Bow Wow, you will always be Lil’Bow Bow to me. You don’t act like a person who is maturing at all. The fact alone that you felt you had to punk out Toure showcases that fact. When you can punk out Wendy Williams and Miss Jones when they say something wrong, then you can tell people you are a man.
Until then “Mr. 106 and Park” — sit the hell down!Powered by Sidelines
