Screen Actors Guild Awards 41st Annual Life Achievement Award
James Garner

Foxx and Swank continued their success at 2004 award shows, having already won Golden Globes. Neither Freeman nor Blanchett won a Globe for their 2004 performances. Geoffrey Rush repeated as well, having won a Globe for his portrayal of Peter Sellers, as did Glenn Close for her work in The Lion in Winter. Jerry Orbach, not nominated for a Globe, was awarded for his work in Law & Order. Sadly, this is an award he deserved long ago, before he passed away recently. Still, it is well-deserved. Teri Hatcher was also the recipient of a Globe for her work on Desparate Housewives.
